RESCOM Environmental Corp (RESCOM) is seeking individuals to join its growing nationwide environmental consulting team to work the front lines of cultural resource management. The Job

RESCOM Environmental Corp is seeking On-Call Archaeological Field Technicians to work under the direction of a Principal Investigator on projects throughout the U.S.

As part of a crew, Archaeological Field Technicians conduct archaeological surveys for Section 106 projects. Fieldwork may include shovel testing, pedestrian survey, testing, and/or excavation. This job requires working in teams for long periods of time in various environments. Applicants must have the ability to walk, stand, and dig for many hours as well as the ability to carry equipment and supplies up to 40 pounds. Project lengths vary from 1-week to many weeks.

On-Call employees are contacted by a project manager with available hours and project information when work becomes available, and these employees may accept or decline hours. On-Call work may be a good fit for graduate students and those working other On-Call, seasonal, or part-time jobs.

Pay for this position is $16-$21 per hour with overtime available at time and a half. Per diem and single occupancy lodging provided.

Minimum Qualifications:

A passion for the protection and preservation of cultural resources.

Bachelor’s degree or working toward a Bachelor's degree with completion of a field school.

Six months of archaeological field experience or completion of an archaeological field school.

Tech savvy - GPS and computer literate.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to meet physical demands described above.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.

Completion of an archaeological field school.

1 year of professional field experience.
